ABOUT US...

Our Story:
Sean and I met in the summer of 2007. At the time, Sean was living outside of Albany and I was living in Manhattan. Working in NYC one July day, Sean was invited to a NY Mets game by his coworker, Mike. Mike had also invited his sister Sarah, a good friend of mine. Sarah, knowing that I could not pass up an opportunity to watch a baseball game and drink a beer on a beautiful summer night, decided to invite me.

And so we were introduced. After a friendly conversation, I thought Sean was one of the cutest things I’d ever seen. After the game (the Mets actually won!), I decided to work up the nerve to ask Sean for his phone number. At this time, though, we were all attempting to get on the 7 train, along with everyone else at Shea Stadium. Sean and I were separated, but we continued to laugh with each other from afar as Mike, a Yankees fan, and a surly, drunken Mets fan argued loudly over which team was better. Thankfully, Mike and Sean didn’t have a long trip. The two got off the train, which caused the packed car full of Yankee-haters to erupt in applause.

It seemed my chance had passed. However, Sarah suggested giving my number to her brother, who then passed it to Sean. Sean, having wished that he had asked for my number, did not adhere to the standard “wait three days to call” rule. He called me the very next day. We hit it off and embarked on a long distance relationship over the next year. In the fall of 2008, we moved in together. We currently live in Beacon, NY in the Hudson Valley.

Three years after we first met, we are very excited to start this new journey together. We can’t wait to share it with you.
